We are a mid-sized CPA firm that has been a leader in the NYC market for over 30 years. Specializing in Tax, Accounting, Assurance, and Advisory services, we pride ourselves on supporting closely held businesses within the NYC community.

Due to our continued growth, we are excited to welcome a new Tax Manager to our team! This role offers flexible remote work options if you are local to NYC. We are seeking individuals who value a strong, long-term cultural fit and are passionate about serving our local clients.

Key Objectives

Candidate will work in all phases of tax planning, tax preparation, review, compliance, and research
Strong experience using tax software with Thomson Reuters UltraTax CS, Microsoft Office, and Intuit QuickBooks preferred
Demonstrate knowledge of prevailing tax laws and developments
Ability to apply knowledge of current issues in tax, regulatory requirements, and industry-specific concerns to clients and be able to identify where they may impact a client and recommend strategies
Be proficient in the preparation of various tax returns, including, but not limited to: Individual, Fiduciary, Corporate, Partnership, and Multistate

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting
CPA or IRS Enrolled Agent (Preferred)
At least 5-7 years of experience in a CPA firm with 2 years of supervisory experience
Experience using UltraTax CS, Checkpoint, Microsoft Office Suite, and Intuit products (Preferred)
Assume responsibility for planning, supervising, and completing engagements
Plan the timing and assigning of staff to engagements
Review engagement work papers, resolve any problems, and keep the partner informed of all important developments in the engagement
Supervise staff accountants, provide feedback to them, and evaluate their progress
