We are looking for an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of large, high-value heavy civil construction projects. This role requires an individual with proven expertise in project management, exceptional leadership abilities, and a strong understanding of heavy civil construction practices. The Senior Program Manager will work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and execution of heavy civil construction programs from inception to completion, ensuring that projects meet all technical, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate and oversee multi-disciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment and address any issues or concerns.
- Manage risk and resolve project challenges, making decisions that minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Implement and enforce best practices in construction management, safety, and quality control.
- Prepare and present project reports, including progress updates, financial status, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
- Mentor and develop junior project managers and team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction project management, with a focus on large infrastructure projects highways, bridges, tunnels, dams.
- Proven experience managing multi-million-dollar construction programs.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, construction processes, and relevant software tools
- PMP, CCM, or similar project management certification preferred.
- Ability to manage complex relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage risk, budgets, and schedules effectively.
