Job Title: Senior Civil Estimator
Job Location: St. Augustine, FL
Salary: $80k-140k
Requirements: 5+ years of civil estimating. Experience with Agtek and/or HCSS HeavyBid highly preferred. FDOT experience required.

Position Overview:
The Senior Civil Estimator will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase of our civil engineering projects. This position involves estimating costs, preparing proposals, and collaborating with project managers to ensure accurate and competitive bids. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil construction estimation and a deep understanding of relevant software tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects including site work, road construction, and utility installations.
Analyze project plans and specifications to identify cost and project requirements.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to provide input on project scheduling and budgeting.
Utilize estimation software such as HCSS HeavyBid and AGTEK for creating accurate estimates.
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including FDOT and DOT standards.
Review and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals for accuracy and competitiveness.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in civil estimating.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in civil estimating or a similar role within civil construction.
Proficiency in estimation software (HCSS HeavyBid, AGTEK) and design software (AutoCAD, Bluebeam).
Strong understanding of civil construction processes and methodologies.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders and team members.
