Salary: $70k-$90k first year base + Benefits + Bonus

Position Overview
In business for over 90 years, we are a multi-disciplinary AEC firm serving both the public and private sectors. We are now seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team, they will oversee  AP/AR, month/year closing process, and assist with FP&A functions, among other responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Coordinate the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
•  Manage payroll processing, employee expenses and ensure accurate employee benefits administration. Support employee onboarding/offboarding.
• Review vendor/consultant invoices and ensure timely payments are made.
• Conduct financial analysis and forecasting to support strategic planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during onboarding and financial reporting processes.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure all entries are recorded accurately.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•  5+ years experience in accounting, including AP/AR, payroll, GL, journal entries, financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software.
• Experience with Deltek Ajera is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
