Job Title: Revenue Accountant
Location: Onsite - Tyler, Texas
We are seeking an onsite Revenue Accountant to join our team in Tyler, Texas and manage key accounting functions within the oil and gas industry. This role requires expertise in revenue accounting, tax reporting, and compliance, with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
Record and reconcile all operated and non-operated revenue
Process monthly revenue distribution
Report and pay severance taxes for Texas and Louisiana
Prepare and submit ONRR reports
Compile data and file well test requirements for Texas and Louisiana
Generate and file 1099s at both federal and state levels
Assist with revenue allocations and production accounting
Communicate effectively with royalty owners and purchasers
Maintain digital accounting records
Must be available to work onsite in Tyler, Texas
Experience in Oil and Gas*
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university
5+ years of oil and gas accounting experience, with proficiency in Pak Energy (formerly WolfePak)
Strong knowledge of severance tax processing, calculations, reporting, and payments for Texas and Louisiana
Excellent time management skills to meet monthly closing deadlines
Strong attention to detail with the ability to compile and analyze data
Advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel
Ability to multitask and prioritize projects effectively
Strong organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication abilities
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while also excelling in a team environment
