Purchasing & Inventory Manager
We are looking for an experienced Purchasing & Inventory Manager to join our team and oversee our purchasing and inventory operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of purchasing and inventory control, including overseeing inventory accuracy, purchase order placement and tracking, and vendor relationship management. To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess extensive knowledge of Division 8, Doors and Hardware, and Comsense Purchasing.
Position Overview:
The Purchasing & Inventory Manager will be responsible for managing the entire purchasing and inventory process, from order placement to delivery. The successful candidate will review the inventory accuracy, place purchase orders, and maintain/manage vendor relationships. The manager will also ensure that inventory is tracked and monitored, and that vendors are provided with timely delivery of product.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage purchasing and inventory policies and processes
Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and delivery
Ensure accurate inventory tracking and monitoring
Review inventory accuracy and place purchase orders
Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery of products
Work with other departments to develop and maintain inventory levels
Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies
Keep records of all purchases and inventories
Assist with the development of the companys annual purchasing strategy
Analyze purchasing trends to identify cost saving opportunities
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business or related field
5+ years of experience in purchasing and inventory management
Extensive knowledge of Division 8, Doors and Hardware, and Comsense Purchasing
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software
