Title: Maintenance Manager - Corrugated Packaging Manufacturer

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 + Bonus

Founded in 1946 we are a 500 employee converter of custom corrugated products & protective packaging with 6 facilities across the Northeast. We have increased our headcount by 15% over the past 2 years as we continue to gain market share in the space and invest in new technologies. We provide everything from custom packaging design to testing & analysis to storage hub services for our clients across the US. For our location in Marlborough which is a 100 employee union facility, we are tasking the Maintenance Manager with rebuilding our maintenance department from the ground up treating this opportunity as your own business of sorts. You will have 8-12 direct reports and if you've got a good understanding of union culture you will have a leg up on building something great and becoming a key asset within the organization.

What You Will Be Doing

Oversee the maintenance of production equipment & meet company standards of minimum equipment downtime as well as oversee technicians that repair & maintain the equipment
Establish & maintain preventive maintenance programs & procedures
Interface w/ contractors & vendors to solicits bids & negotiate w/ vendors for goods & services
Maintain inventory and/or spare parts
Develop departmental plans incl: business, production and/or organizational priorities
Evaluate existing manufacturing processes & workflows to identify / implement improvements
Create & maintain departmental expenditures & capital within budgetary goals
Use Lean manufacturing to create new solutions to existing manufacturing problems

What You Need for this Position

5+ years in maintenance management ideally in the industrial manufacturing space
10+ years of overall experience in maintenance within manufacturing
Experience working in a union shop is ideal
Ability to rebuild / restructure an entire maintenance department from the ground up
MS Office suite product knowledge
High level of mechanical & electrical skillset along w/ CAD experience (ideal)
Exposure to the corrugated industry is a plus
