Family Law Associate Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Family Law Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will specialize in Georgia family law and provide high-quality legal counsel to clients navigating complex family-related legal issues. This position aims to ensure effective case management, representation, and resolution of family law matters, while maintaining the highest standards of legal professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal advice and representation in family law cases including divorce, child custody, and support matters.
Manage case files efficiently, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
Conduct legal research to support case strategies and client needs.
Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and agreements.
Represent clients in court hearings and legal proceedings related to family law.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
Negotiate settlements and contracts on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
Conduct case assessments to evaluate potential legal strategies and outcomes.
Organize and maintain digital and physical case files, correspondence, and legal documents.
Assist in resolving legal conflicts through mediation or alternative dispute resolution methods.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in Georgia with a focus on family law.
5+ years of experience in family law or related fields.
Strong knowledge of Georgia family law and legal proceedings.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficient in legal research and case management software.
Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
Experience in probate law is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
