Position Overview:

The Senior Estimator for Heavy Civil Construction will be responsible for leading the estimating process for for various large scale heavy civil projects. This individual will play a critical role in accurately determining project costs and ensuring profitability for the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Heavy Civil construction and extensive experience in estimating for large-scale projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the estimating process for various Heavy Civil Construction projects
Review project plans and specifications to accurately determine project costs
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop accurate cost estimates and schedules
Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients
Analyze project risks and provide cost-saving recommendations
Ensure all project costs align with company standards and budgets
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in construction costs
Provide mentorship and support to junior estimators

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in estimating for Heavy Civil construction projects
Strong knowledge of roadway, highway, and sitework construction processes
Experience with estimating software and tools
Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong leadership and mentorship abilities
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
