Director of Engineering - Mechanical/Plumbing

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to lead our Mechanical and Plumbing teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving innovation in design and execution. This role is crucial for enhancing our project delivery in the multi-family, mixed-use, commercial, and hospitality sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Mechanical and Plumbing engineering teams.
Oversee the design and implementation of engineering projects from conception to completion.
Ensure all engineering practices comply with relevant codes and standards.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to align engineering objectives with project goals.
Evaluate and mentor engineering staff to foster professional development and improve team performance.
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to ensure successful project execution.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to drive innovation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical and plumbing engineering.
Experience in multi-family, mixed-use, commercial, and hospitality projects preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering software.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
