Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Insurance Defense Attorney to represent our clients in various types of insurance defense matters. The ideal candidate will have experience handling insurance defense litigation, including the analysis of coverage issues, the defense of personal injury and property damage claims, and the management of complex legal cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Defend clients in insurance defense cases, including bodily injury, property damage, and professional liability matters.
Provide legal counsel on coverage issues and work closely with clients to resolve claims.
Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial proceedings.
Develop case strategies, analyze legal issues, and offer proactive solutions to complex problems.
Maintain and manage a caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to achieve favorable outcomes.
Assist with business development and client relationship management.
Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the State Bar of California.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation (personal injury, property damage, etc.).
Experience with legal research, discovery, depositions, and trial preparation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Trial experience, including the ability to handle motions and represent clients in court.
Experience with commercial or construction defect claims.
Strong relationships with industry professionals and potential clients.
