Accounting Manager

Company Overview

We are a global alternative investment manager operating in the credit, private equity, and real estate markets and looking to add an Accounting Manager to our Financial Reporting team in our Denver, CO office.

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee SEC reporting functions for our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and distribution of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC regulations (10-K, 10Q, 8K, Proxy Statements)
• Coordinate with external auditors to support annual audits and quarterly reviews. 
• Research and implement technical accounting guidance as necessary
• Ensure compliance with all accounting policies and procedures
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the accounting team
• Assist with the development and maintenance of internal controls over financial reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA certification preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Public Accounting or Property Management Accounting 
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting requirements and accounting research
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
